MOREOVER I WILL BE CAREFUL TO ENSURE THAT YOU ALWAYS
HAVE A REMINDER OF THESE THINGS AFTER MY DECEASE......2 PETER
1:15. |
|
AND
WHEN I DIE AND WHEN I'M GONE
(don't forget the word) |
What a wonderfilled piece of scripture, a true and classic
example of a man who had weathered the rigors of following the lamb of Yah,
Jesus the Christ. Always remember the cross takes no casualties, all die.
The end is highly important, how we finish the race if we finish it
and if we even start it. How frightening to even consider for one moment the
many who did manage to start the race of 'faith' yet due to many
carnal interrupters, interruptions and for some maybe just a last minute
major interruption even a departure from 'the faith'
altogether. Almost persuaded to finish but damned you could say.....2
Timothy 2:1-13....click.
As I heard only recently of a man who was raised to read and believe the
holy bible scripture yet confessed himself to simply like the stories in the
old testament yet once given the age of consent and complete freedom of
choice he put his bible away and as he put it "became an agnostic"......click.
I must say I truely like the reminder of Peter which was simply about
'Fruitful Growth In The Faith' which placed the spotlight of life once
again onto the teachings/doctrine of the Christ by holy ghost power. Not
on Peter.
● What a superbly selfless finish for all
listeners...."Don't forget the prophetic Word" a light that shines in
a dark world to the very end......2 Peter 1:19.
We often hear men and women in their vanity talking about when they die and
what they want people to think of them and even what they expect people to
remember them as, how foolish. If that is what really matters to you, you
need to stop talking and make your imprint now so that when you do
eventually die not even your enemies will forget you. No human opinions
will be valid in heaven.
I find it terribly conceited for any human to actually want to be
remembered, especially if they claim to be a 'christian-dead to self'.
I don't find any new testament saint harbouring such desires, I believe it
is part of the walk and faith in 'the faith'. What people think is
not what you are. What and who you really are is governed by 'how responsive you
are' to him/Jesus the Christ.
And if you are a person who does not respond to the 'doctrine of the
Christ' as he wants, you are nothing in his eyes therefore someone in
the eyes of the world and they shall remember you in one way or another,
that is, if it is convenient or profitable or both, savvy?.......Luke
8:21, Revelation 22:14-17.
And how would I want to be remembered?, it doesn't matter. I would
have left this beggarly life on earth and moved to where there is no liar,
thief, evil, greed, plagiarists, jezebels, injustice or uncleanness. I
simply have no regard for the cheat, opinions of heathens, hedonists, liars or
religious-heretics and is this not the basic content of the large majority
of peoples on the earth today if we would be honest for once.....Matthew
7:13, 14, Romans 9:27-29.....click.
THERE WAS FOUND IN A LITTLE CITY A POOR WISE MAN AND HE BY HIS WISDOM DID
DELIVER THIS CITY FROM IT'S TROUBLES YET NO ONE REMEMBERED THE SAME POOR
MAN.....WISDOM IS BETTER THAN STRENGTH......ECCLESIASTES
9:13-16....Amen.....click.
