WORDS OF WISDOM

Bible verse.......Strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith and saying that.....we must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.....ref/Acts 14:22.

.................COMMENT FROM THE PASTOR'S PEN......................
Going by what Paul the apostle says here, entering the Kingdom of God is no easy, comfortable, trouble-free walk, is it? This is contrary or the opposite to what most churches and their leaders teach and preach today, there is no money in this kind of preaching, I can tell you right now.

And do you notice that Paul the apostle exhorts and strongly urges the disciples to 'continue in the faith' if they are going to enter the Kingdom of God. No man or woman who have come to Jesus, been water-baptised-fully submerged in water and know the scriptures can ever enter the Kingdom of God unless they 'continue in the faith'.......not just hearers of the Word but also doers, otherwise they are self-deceived and the devil doesn't need to deceive them for they have and are deceiving themselves, all the way to hell fire.....ref/Romans 11:22, James 1:22.

Not 'your faith' or 'our own faith' but 'the faith-the doctrine of the Christ.

You can have no greater strength than the truth and Jesus the Christ is the Truth. Not negative or positive but the truth, the biblical truth about the road to Glory/Heaven, it is narrow and difficult and few decide to take this road, while many and most choose to walk the wide road, the way of sin and ungodliness which leads to hell-fire-eternal......ref/Matthew 7:13, 14.

When someone tells you the truth on an issue it strengthens you, that is if you are willing to receive the truth and you are of the truth but if not, the truth will only aggravate/annoy you. The truth-Jesus the Christ came to set us free from sin, self, satan, the wrath/anger of God to come and eternal hell fire. Does this sound like a bad thing, only to the fool at heart...........ref/John 14:6, Psalm 14:1.

Did you also notice in our scripture today that St. Paul says that we must go through 'many' troubles before entering the Kingdom of God-Jesus the Christ. Therefore when the minister of the Gospel tells you this, he is not trying to put you down, he is wanting to help you, for what is bound to happen, if you are on the narrow road that leads to life.
