"GOD'S WAYS....ARE NOT...OUR WAYS"

.....2011

The Road of Life

As I travel down the road of life
I've come to know that there are lows,
and there are highs...
And I've seen that there are wars,
and there's peace...
And Jesus, He died on a tree.

"He's coming again," they say.
On the white clouds, He'll be riding
that day....
And all the people that claim they
are His
will be waiting to go home with Him.

Do you know my sweet Jesus?
Are you born again?
Do you keep His commandments?
Are you really His friend?
Can you say, "O, I love Him?
And I know He loves me?"

Will He know you when He comes back
that day???

And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you. Depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness. Matthew 7:23.

Take the world but give me Jesus. Let me have His constant smile!

Yahweh Deals with the Dishonest

Editor's Article

"I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed the pillar and where you made a vow to me. Now arise, get out of this land and return to the land of your family." .........Genesis 31:13.

Truly, the word of God is written for all people and is profitable for all who want to do Heavenly Father's will. The above Scripture is the word which was spoken to Jacob, the father of the twelve tribes of Israel. Before Jacob married, he obtained employment as a shepherd with his uncle Laban. In the first fourteen years of his employment with Laban, he worked to obtain Laban's two daughters, Leah and Rachel as his wives, though he originally agreed only to work for seven years to marry Rachel. Later, Laban changed the deal and arranged for Leah to be married to Jacob instead of Rachel after his seven years of service. Then Jacob agreed to work for another seven years to have Rachel as his wife also.

Unfortunately, Laban consistently practiced deceit and unrighteous exploitation of his employee, Jacob. Laban changed his wages more than once, gave Jacob deals that were different to what he had previously agreed to offer him and craftily found different ways to cheat him of his entitlements. Even so, Yahweh was with Jacob and caused him to prosper and to increase in much livestock in the field. The God of Jacob made Jacob a prosperous man and caused the works of his hands to prosper, and He Later caused many of Jacob's descendants to also be successful and prosperous people who knew God and who followed His instructions for their own good.

Jacob worked for Laban for twenty years and was eventually instructed by God to get away and to return to the land of his family. Jacob had become rich but not because of Laban but rather because of Yahweh, the provider. The earth is the Lord's and all its fullness, as the prophet of the Lord has taught His people. Therefore, Laban and his sons grew extremely envious of Jacob, and they did not believe him, since Jacob became more prosperous than his employer. After Jacob concluded that the Lord's word should be followed, Jacob and his wives, children and livestock fled from Laban's property and headed towards Succoth and then to the city of Shechem.

After Jacob fled from Laban, Laban and his men pursued Jacob and some time later reached him and his family. And Laban started looking through Jacob's possessions to search for what belonged to him. He no longer trusted Jacob nor did he care about his property or respect his privacy and his entitlements to make important decisions in life and to give his crafty employer notice of his necessary departure. It was then that Jacob finally rebuked Laban, the looter.

Then Jacob was angry and rebuked Laban, and Jacob answered and said to Laban: "What is my trespass? What is my sin that you have so hotly pursued me? Although you have searched all my things, what part of your household things have you found? Set it here between my brethren and your brethren, that they may judge between us both! These twenty years I have been with you; your ewes and your female goats have not miscarried their young, and I have not eaten the rams of your flock. That which was torn by beasts, I did not bring to you; I bore the loss o fit. You required it from my hand, whether stolen by day or stolen by night. There I was! In the day, the drought consumed me and the frost by night, and my sleep departed from my eyes. Thus I have been in your house twenty years. I served you fourteen years for your two daughters and six years for your flock, and you have changed my wages ten times. Unless the God of my father; the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac had been with me, surely now you would have sent me away empty-handed. God has seen my affliction and the labor of my hands and rebuked you last night." Genesis 31:36-42.

Yes; Jacob persevered for twenty long years, working for a corrupt employer. Today, many big and small employers have followed in the footsteps of Laban. However, many rogue employers in these end times are doing far worse things than what Laban did to his relative, Jacob. Laban returned home after making a covenant with Jacob, and Jacob could then move on. On the other hand, there are many villains in these end times, which withhold their employees' wages, threaten their employees, enter their homes in order to seek and confiscate their property, slander their hard-workers, plot against them. And lastly, these mobs that are greedy for gain unfairly dismiss their employees from their jobs and send them away empty handed or withhold amounts of wages from them. In some cases, employers do not allow their ill-treated employees to resign from their jobs, and some of them then flee from their employers, and these rogue employers energetically pursue these workers, as Laban and his men pursued Jacob, and some employees today have to move far away in order to escape persecution from the villains who employed them.

Indeed, the wages of the labourers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth/ You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury. You have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter. You have condemned, and you have murdered the just; he does not resist you. James 5:4-6.

Indeed, Lord Jesus, who fights on behalf of His people, has heard the cries and the valid complaints of His followers who are being exploited today by immoral employers. And even people who profess to be Christian and various cults are playing the role of slave drivers today and are forcing people of varying beliefs to work like slaves for peanuts, and they make these workers' lives a living hell, if they speak against these scoundrels or if they flee from them, seeking liberty. The Church of Scientology is among these savage wolves, who's authorities hire low paid labourers and then live in temporary pleasure and luxury at the expense of the people who have been cheated and abused by them.

Therefore, Lord Jesus will judge all unrepentant humans who use, abuse and cheat hard-working people for the sake of dishonest gain. We can learn from the prophet Malachi that Lord Jesus will be a swift witness against sorcerers, adulterers, perjurers, those who exploit wage earners and exploit widows and orphans and those who do not fear the Lord and who discriminate and unfairly treat foreigners. Lord Jesus has not changed and is still the avenger of evildoers.

There are many employers today in the secular workplaces and in churches, who do not fear the Lord, who are racist and who persistently ill-treat employees and ill-treat women and children. It is too late for many leaders of various organizations in this world today. James, the teacher of the gospel  pronounced judgment on corrupt leaders who exploit labourers. It was too late for those corrupt leaders to repent in James' day, and for many crafty people today, they have also missed their opportunity to repent and to know the truth, Lord Jesus. They do not want to know Him, submit to Him or obey His ways. Lord Jesus moves right past those who think that they may outsmart Him. They are deluded and are set on falsehood, and they do not want to change their ways.

Brethren, there are now many bosses, leaders and workers who do not want to change, and there are certain workplaces and even churches in which you will not turn the people to the way of righteousness, and your rebukes of corrupt employers or corrupt organizations will fall on deaf ears. The Apostle Paul said that in the last days, many will turn their ears away from the truth. There comes a time for saints to move on to another place or to do another work which Lord Jesus has given them the ability to do. Jacob, who was named, Israel, was a resilient man, who stayed loyal to his hard employer for twenty years, but he eventually left him and went to another place, where the Lord wanted him to be. Moreover, Paul the Apostle, Barnabas, Silas and many other messengers of the Lord did not always stay in the one area for all their lives and were not so worried about job security, when they were followers of Lord Jesus. Lord Jesus was their provider, just as He was the provider of Abraham and all his descendants after him including great kings.

Saints need to listen to Lord Jesus, do the work of the great commission and endure hardship. And they should not expect to be well received in every place where they go because not everyone wants to hear the truth, and many persecute those who speak gospel truths.

When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes. Matthew 10:23.

The prophet Solomon wrote, 'If the spirit of the ruler rises against you, do not leave your post, for conciliation pacifies great offenses.'

Yes indeed; saints need to remain calm in a crisis. Paul the apostle also taught Lord Jesus' followers that if possible they need to live peaceably with all people. Furthermore, the prophet Solomon taught that there is a time to keep and a time to throw away and that for everything there is a time, and Almighty God will judge the righteous and the wicked.

Simon who was named, Peter, threw away his secular job of full time sea fishing, and so did some other disciples of Lord Jesus. However, Lord Jesus made them fishers of men, as He spoke regarding the apostle Peter. These men brought the good news of salvation to many people. Therefore, this was a far more eternally profitable job for many as opposed to full time fishing with nets in the sea. There is a time for disciples to do ordinary jobs in the world, and there is a time for them to do the main job that Lord Jesus has called each of them to do, so it is important to truly discern the time. Some disciples do secular jobs and contribute to ministries within the true church; while other disciples lead churches or do full time ministry work and no longer have enough time to do full time secular jobs.

Therefore, saints need to persevere and do what is well pleasing in the sight of Lord Jesus, to whom we must all give account for the things that we have done in our life times. All of Lord Jesus' living people still have a job to do on this earth, and they need to be doing their respective jobs in the places where He has appointed for them to be doing their work.
