WHY DID PETER FOLLOW
JESUS?

In a world that majors on loving their
neighbour (but not exactly as themselves) we are being
swamped with the clichés of men and women that are
friendly to the ears of the ignorant and at the same
time vain, empty and even that which is considered as
"false" knowledge by God Himself....1 Timothy 6:20, 21.
For starters, no man or woman can love their neighbour
(as themselves) as Jesus has asked us without first
being born-again, this time of God's Spirit not of
a woman but so many are out there today claiming they
do. It is hard to find even born-again-christians that
walk in Christ's 2nd command......Micah 7:1-7.
One such cliché of vanity and nonsense is the one that
says...."People don't follow leaders because they know a
lot but because the people know that the leader cares
about them" ..(something to that affect).
Totally out of step with the words of apostolic Pete.
Nothing is further from the truth according to our
scripture above and the scripture prior to it where
Jesus said to Peter and the rest of his disciples there
were 11 plus Peter and Jesus said....."Do you also want
to go (somewhere else to fellowship) away"?...click
● There is no doubt a great
gulf between the thinking of men and the thinking of
God/Jesus when it comes to buddies, mates and pals,
public relations and family.
Peter said.... you have the words Jesus, the knowledge,
wisdom, truth, understanding and no one else knows as
you do. Peter didn't say that he was going to stick
around for Jesus was cool and it was fun hanging out
with him because they got to go to watch the Jerusalem
Bears play the Damascan Devils at Tithing Oval in the
winter and Jesus paid for the peanuts and
wine....click.
Peter did not say, well Jesus I'm gunna stick around for
you are great with public relations seminars, the people
love you so much they are in the making of hanging you
up on a cross with nails. And they will bash your face
in first and spit on you and mock you. If they hate you
remember they hated Jesus first...Click.
Peter recognised (perceived) that Jesus was what he said
he was....The Way, The Truth and The Life not a hot dog
vendor at a ball game who had buck teeth (like Chad
Morgan) and cracked jokes. Nor was he a friend of the
world......James 4:4.
Clichés of men and women without biblical form to them
are no better than 'Sinergy! What is Sinergy? Sinergy is
books, DVD and CD's heavily laden with heresy that
energises the sinners everyday life with compromised
attitudes brandishing jumbo price tags displaying
'the depth of the propagators faith' in Jesus ......click.
Don't be waylaid with clichés, compromises, psychology,
genealogies, the fear of being rejected by the majority
or wealthy intimidators of the Harlot Churches.
