5I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.6According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me. 7Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe them: 8I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them. Hosea 13:5-8.
What happened to you?
Dear church, I want to share with you a message about complacency / turning from the Lord to gain worldly pleasures. The scripture above is an accurate description of the churchgoers that are empty of worldly things, they cry out to God for help and fulfillment and they seek Him, and become filled. But when the fulfillment is freely given of God they grow proud and forget the One whom gave it to them. Brethren be warned for this type of professing Christian is in the gravest of danger for the Lord God shall bring them to destruction when they least expect it. Just as the lion snares his prey swiftly and unexpectedly!

James 4:17 says this: Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Therefore brethren turn back to the One who saved your soul, remember your first love and do the works that He has prepared for you! Anything else is sin; let me say that there is nothing in this world that can give the fulfillment of knowing and walking with Jesus, if you have known Him and still profess to know Him but are seeking worldly gain / pleasure then be aware of the consequences of walking down the wide path............Revelation 3:15-17,
15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.
I leave you with the sobering verses from Hebrews 10:26-29, and let the Spirit of God give you understanding and the fear of God give you wisdom and lead you to repentance.....................Amen.

26For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
