Because of the marketing attitude and mindset of most religious structures today we come to find that church leaders are forever trying to control the sending out of disciples and the making of them .. it is nothing short of the way of the Pharisees of Jesus time.

If we were to put Christianity into three words it would all be said in these words .. the great commission.

Whether it be to Iceland or the corner shop .. Jesus said go! make disciples, baptise and teach.

GO THEREFORE AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS BAPTISING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE, ALL THINGS THAT I HAVE COMMANDED YOU ..

AND LO, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS .. EVEN TO THE END OF THE AGE ......... MATTHEW 28:19-20

*  TO MAKE A DISCIPLE .. IS TO LEAD A SOUL TO CHRIST.
*  T0 BAPTISE A DISCIPLE .. IS TO FULLY SUBMERGE A PERSON IN WATER.
*  TO TEACH A DISCIPLE .. IS TO CONVEY KNOWLEDGE ABOUT CHRIST AND HIS WAYS.

TO MAKE A DISCIPLE:

When a person meets Jesus the Christ through prayer by faith and the power of holy ghost, they become a disciple of Christs, new creatures not by a plan of man but by the grace of God ... 2 Corinthians 5:17.

To be born again is to start again, a completely new direction in life, in fact a 180 degree turn. Whether that person walks with Jesus for six hours or sixty years they are His disciple until the very time or day that they wilfully say no to Jesus and turn their back on Him and refuse to obey His word and requests.

FROM THAT TIME MANY OF HIS DISCIPLES WENT BACK AND WALKED WITH HIM NO MORE.

JOHN 6:66

We never reach a place where anyone of us can say .. I am a fully qualified disciple of the Christ, I have arrived. It is a ongoing practise or it ceases completely. There is no such thing as a mister in between.. Philippians 3:12-14.

A blind man was healed and became.. Jesus disciple instantaneously.. he joined no bless me club or bible college or institute. In actual fact, a disciple is one who believes and never ceases to believe. We are disciples by faith in the Christ alone and our works prove it, the works of obedience.

The moment the master calls, we become His disciple .. if we obey His Call .... Luke 9:59.

Therefore my friend, if you lead a soul through this prayer, if they are genuine about it they shall be saved, they shall become Jesus disciple.

But let me also warn you about your commitment.. if you turn back to the world and never repent and turn back to God, your soul shall be destroyed in hell fire .. please read: Romans 10:13 * Romans 11:22.

Let us Pray!

Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, please forgive me
of all my sins, come into my heart right now
and save my soul .. Thank you Jesus for saving my
soul from eternal destruction.

A contract or covenant can only ever be considered valid when both parties keep within the guidelines of the actual agreement.. amen?

TO BAPTISE A DISCIPLE:

*  To be baptised in water is to be fully submerged in water.. a creek, bath tub, pool or ocean... Matthew 3:13.

*  To be baptised in water is to fulfil all righteousness.. Matt 3:15.

*  To be baptised in water is to be buried with Christ.. Romans 6:1-14.

*  When baptising someone, all that needs to be said is .. I baptise thee into the death, burial and resurrection      of Lord Jesus Christ and I do this in the name of Lord Jesus Christ .. amen.

TO TEACH A DISCIPLE:

We as servants, soldiers and ambassadors of Christ, are required by the commissioner Himself/Jesus .. to impart all knowledge, wisdom and blessing that He has bestowed upon us to every new disciple where ever possible as holy ghost leads, providing the teaching we offer can be soberly supported by the Lord Jesus Infallible Word ... Matthew 10:8.. Acts 17:11.

Sometimes it is not possible, to baptise and teach all that you may lead or introduce to Jesus but as Holy Ghost leads us we must go. Even as it was for the evangelist/Phillip, so it may be at times for us, don't get religious .. Jesus is the Saviour .. Acts 8:26-40.

Allow me to leave you with some simple words of advice .. if you want to be strong in the Lord, as bold as a lion and finish the race of faith..

*  Read the word of God daily
*  Fellowship with committed brethren of the Christ
*  Always be diligent in prayer
*  Confess the Christ publicly and daily
*  If you sin, be quick to repent and go on
*  And last but not least, make Jesus your number one.

P.S. Not all Christians are called to be in a official office, such as apostle prophet, pastor, teacher or evangelist but all are naturally, through the new birth .. Disciples/followers of the Christ/Jesus.
