The gifts of the holy ghost seem to be the emphasise in most churches today and not too many have stopped to consider that .. gifts.. are not able to save the soul, except for the gift of salvation, which comes by following after Jesus the Christ ... not meeting Him, not knowing about Him but by the laying down of ones life and picking up their cross, self denial and following Him/Jesus willingly.. amen.

What was the emphasise placed upon in the early church was it gifts or was it on .. the following in the masters footsteps????

One religious cult by the name of .. Revival Centres of Australia .. very harshly demand that in order to be saved from eternal hellfire you must speak with .. other tongues .. and they also say that if you are not water baptised you are not saved either ... none of this is true, according to the holy scriptures... Romans 10:9,10.

If it were true, it means that gifts are able to save and that is not so and it would also say that we are saved by water but again the scripture says we are not saved by water .. but by the incorruptible seed/the word of truth.

The gifts of the Holy Ghost are given by God and can never be given by any man or woman.. He distributes the gifts, so where does the teaching come from that tells people that they are able to have the gifts of the Spirit by the attending of conferences and seminars???.. I believe it comes from the devil.

Most people get the five-fold ministry and the gifts of the Spirit of God mixed up and think that they may learn to operate in the gifts by the teaching of mere men and women. If this was so well they would no longer be called the .. gifts of the Spirit ... they would be called the gifts of men and women.

They are called gifts because that is what they are gifts given by the only wise God.. what blasphemy .. to say that men and women are going to coach you and lead you to operate in the gifts of a unseen God, we are talking about spiritual gifts here not anything from the earth but from heaven itself.

The most simple of scriptures spell it out ..

JOHN ANSWERED AND SAID .. A MAN CAN RECEIVE NOTHING UNLESS IT HAS BEEN GIVEN TO HIM FROM HEAVEN, ....... JOHN 3:27.
