I work in the Brisbane CBD and
as I walk through King George Square I read signs
telling people about the drought and the lack of water
in this country, even the centre pieces/features of the
Square which were once water fountains brightly lit with
coloured lights are now desert scenes with dry dusty
appearances........click.
Is this city we live in a desert?...surely it is
and spiritually it is as dry as a bone scorched by the
heat of the summer sun........click.
Yet there he is, my brother Paul Sheehan, faithfully
crying out in this desert....."make ready the way of
the lord".....make his paths straight.....Matthew 3:3.
Putting things straight you could say. Glory be to God
for his word and for those whom he chooses (not
outside of scripture) to deliver and distribute the
only drink that can quench the thirst of men and
women....."the life giving water of Jesus Christ's
Doctrine" ...Click....Click...Click.
