NOR WAS THERE ANYONE AMONG THEM WHO LACKED…FOR ALL WHO WERE POSSESSORS OF LANDS OR HOUSES SOLD THEM AND BROUGHT THE PROCEEDS OF THE THINGS THAT WERE SOLD AND LAID THEM AT THE APOSTLES FEET AND THEY DISTRIBUTED TO EACH AS ANYONE HAD NEED.

THE TRUE CHRISTIAN...A SELFLESS PILGRIM/SERVANT!-PART 2

Last week, we had a quick look at the finances that are held up in so called churches of GOD in Malaysia. And we compared a few Scriptures with these churches attitude. Can you start to imagine the amount of money wasted by church structures in the world…how about in Australia?

The Scripture above says that the proceeds were laid at the apostles feet…these men did not have to cry poor mouth, nor did they have to lie to the people to get this money nor did they stretch, strain, slight, change, exaggerate or add to the WORD of GOD to receive this blessing.

These people/believers were moved by none other than GOD the HOLY GHOST!

There was no mention of tithe, portion or percentage…these people were led by the HOLY GHOST. This is what GOD wants for His people today.

FOR AS MANY AS ARE LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD…THESE ARE THE SONS OF GOD.
                                                                                                                                        ROMANS 8:14.

These men of GOD had it all at their fingertips, their disposal, and rightly at their disposal. If anyone deserved a new home or chariot it would have been these men, these mighty men of valour. It appears very obvious to any student of the Holy Bible that the large majority of so called men of GOD in the world today see themselves above the men mentioned in Acts chapter four.

There is a very wonderful, beautiful and powerful teaching here…the teaching of true unity, not superficial unity.

We often hear of ministers, churches, wanting unity and over the years I have come to see that this is all just in word…lip servants!

Two major requirements are essential for true unity and harmony among GOD’S people.

1.                  THE PEOPLE MUST ALLOW THE HOLY GHOST TO LEAD THEM, THIS TAKES FAITH!

2.                  THE PEOPLE MUST FORSAKE THE SPIRIT OF COVETOUSNESS, THIS TAKES DEATH TO SELF!

This takes us back to the headlines above…the true Christian, a selfless pilgrim…servant.
                                                                                                                            Luke 17:10.

The writings of Acts 4:36,37 tells us that even the mighty Barnabas gave up his own land to see the name of JESUS magnified. He was able to hand over his possessions with the rest of them, all because he had Faith/ son of encouragement.

Dear reader, when you have a real Bible believing faith in CHRIST JESUS and the HOLY GHOST is your guide…no command is to hard, no request is to much and no death to painful.

 BUT WHAT THINGS WERE GAIN TO ME THESE I HAVE COUNTED LOSS…FOR CHRIST.
                                                                                                                                        PHILIPPIANS 3:7.

BLESSED IS THE MAN WHOSE STRENGTH IS IN YOU WHOSE HEART IS SET IN PILGRIMAGE…
                                                                                                                                                            PSALM 84:5.
