THE PROMISED LAND?

I sincerely believe that there could be nothing more cruel or hateful than to tell people that...the promised land....is to be found within this life span. First I want to say that there was a literal....promised land....spoken about in the old testament but this is by no means carried on into the new testament......John 10:27,28.........(click here).

We look forward to new heavens and a new earth where righteousness dwells.................2 Peter 3:13

St Paul an authentic, powerful apostle, a man that God worked unusual miracles through, miracles that he worked through none other says that he had and at other times he had not. And this never, ever, changed till the day he died........selah.

No, dear reader he did not (as the prosperity name it and claim it crowd say) one fine day break through into a life of riches, big bucks, cadillacs and mansions.

We can not find anywhere in the new testament where any apostle, prophet, teacher, pastor or evangelist that was sent of God/Yah living the high life save those who were traitors, compromisers, lukewarm or  those who had strayed from the truth of his glorious doctrine.... ...ref/Laodecian Church, Judas.......2 Corinthians 2:17.

The promised land is no doubt a spiritual land that one day shall be the rest and the joy for all who endure to the end.........Revelation 21:4, Matthew 10:22.

Most people don't know and are rarely told that christianity, being a follower of the Christ, a disciple, is a battle from day one till the last day of your life or the upward call, whatever comes first..........2 Timothy 4:6-8, Luke 13:22-24

Some ( and the number grows ) believe, like to believe and are taught that money, gold, air planes, mansions, fine apparel and mega sized churches and ministries are part and parcel with the...promised land...they themselves rave about. This is deception in its more palitable form..............Hebrews 11:24-27, Revelation 2:9.

Eternal life is the promised land. St Peter asked Jesus......what shall we have?....and Jesus reply spoke of eternal life not the things of this world or life. Jesus spoke of the regeneration not this life at all. We are really only ever promised peace, rest and the condemnation free life when we walk after the paraclete (in the spirit) in holiness, obedience to his word.............Romans 8:1, Hebrews 5:9.

In fact there is no promised land mentioned in the new testament as such but there is a new heaven and a new earth and also a heavenly country, the new jerusalem and the celestial city made mention of. Therefore be anxious for naught and be found in him when he comes, for he comes quickly for a bride without a spot.

In the regeneration......a hundred fold and eternal life, the last first and the first last, are you last or first?........Matthew 19:28-30.....selah!
