| Paul the apostle, the
man who wrote the epistle to the Philippians was no doubt writing to
Christian’s…saints, bishops and deacons. One of the greatest
supernatural experiences I have ever had came about one day as I was
reading the following scripture, which says NARROW IS THE GATE AND DIFFICULT IS THE WAY WHICH LEADS TO LIFE AND THERE ARE FEW WHO FIND IT. ....................MATTHEW 7:14. It was as my eyes were fixed on these raw truths that I realised that there was no longer any more room for me to live as a mere man. I was in a state of both joy and shock, my old man was shocked and my new man was rejoicing. The old man or the worldling in us all is always the one who is shocked when we sit down in the still of privacy and ponder upon the oracles of our GOD and Saviour.......John 3:7. Cotton wool Christianity with it’s cotton wool doctrines and cotton wool
clergy doesn’t really have the time to ponder, search or meditate upon the requests,
commands and oracles of CHRIST the rejected saviour. And this is where most Christians problems lie. MOST MINISTERS HAVE NEVER
TOLD THEIR CONGREGATIONS THAT GOD HAS GRANTED US A HUGE PRIVILEGE…TO SUFFER FOR HIS
SAKE! LEST WE OFFEND AND PEOPLE LEAVE THE CHURCH IN SEARCH OF GREENER, SOFTER PASTURES. The ways of
man seemeth right to himself but the way thereof is death. To grant is to give
permission and GOD has given every Christian His permission to suffer. The scriptures tell us. THE SPIRIT HIMSELF
BEARS WITNESS WITH OUR SPIRIT THAT WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD AND IF CHILDREN THAN HEIRS,
HEIRS OF GOD AND JOINT HEIRS WITH CHRIST…IF…INDEED WE SUFFER WITH HIM, THAT WE
MAY ALSO BE GLORIFIED TOGETHER. The true Christian way
has always been from the cross to the throne, from death into life…from suffering to
glory from the time of shedding of the righteous blood of Abel all the way up to the
rapture/upward call of the Holy Remnant…we shall no doubt suffer, for it is
written…so be it!.......Acts
14:22. Let
us never forget that the road that leads to hell fire is easy, sleazy, comfy and very
popular with mankind. I hope to meet you someday along the narrow, difficult, lonely road
to Heaven, Amen.
